BODILY INJURY LIABILITY COVERAGE IS- Also Know as BI
A Portion of an
auto insurance policy that covers injuries the policyholder causes to someone else. In the case of
car insurance, bodily injury coverage will pay medical expenses for people who are injured by the driver named in the insurance policy.
Most auto insurance policy offer a split limit option on the bodily injury coverage. An example would be 100/300 which would mean $100,000 limit per person over $300,000 total limit per accident. In this case their could be three people injured in one accident and they could only be paid maximum $100,000 each for their injuries.
There are also combined single limits that offer just one total liability limit like say $300,000. This means there is no limit per person injured in one accident there is only the $300,000 total limit for anyone you may cause bodily injury to in an accident.
